Ingredients
  

Bars:
  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp orange zest optional but recommended
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • tsp ground ginger
  • ¾ cup white chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup dried cranberries
Frosting
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ –1 tsp orange zest
  • ½ cup melted white chocolate for mixing into frosting
  • Extra melted white chocolate for drizzling
  • Chopped dried cranberries for topping

Method
 

Make the Bars
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment.
  3. Whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  4. Whisk in eggs, vanilla, and orange zest.
  5. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and ginger—mix until combined.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips and dried cranberries.
  7. Spread batter evenly into the pan.
  8. Bake 20–24 minutes, until edges are set but center is still soft.
  9. Cool completely.
Make the Frosting
  1. Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy.
  3. Mix in orange zest and the melted white chocolate.
  4. Spread frosting over cooled bars.
Decorate
  1. Sprinkle chopped dried cranberries.
  2. Drizzle with more melted white chocolate.
  3. Chill at least 1 hour for clean cuts.
  4. Cut into triangles for the classic look.
